Our Managing Partner, Dato Thavalingam Thavarajah, shared his views with the Star newspaper on workplace safety in view of employees physically returning to work, highlighting the mutual obligations for both employer and employees which must be complied with in order to ensure a safe working environment.
Furthermore, he has also suggested that employers update their Employee Handbooks, Manuals and policies to include standard operating procedures (SOP) which address Covid-19 and other potential pandemic scenarios and incorporate the new norms of working life so that employees are aware of their rights, responsibilities and obligations.
